Default Get Macromedia Director Output Into VJ Apps!

Make your own VJ synth in Director! Or what about a pattern generator with its own sliders and interactivity? - And get the output in any vj app that supports freeframe 1.0! (Note: PC Only)

I have now confirmed that with the use of my commercial freeframe host xtra (VideoFX xtra) and the PatchBox solution (check link) you can grab the screen from Director using Lingo - and use the "PatchBox send" freeframe plugin to send the image to any other vj app - even on another computer (allthough I havent tested the other computer bit yet).

If you use the freeframe plugin "patchbox receive" in any vj app with freeframe 1.0 support - you will get the output from Macromedia Director that youve sent, and its realtime (on fast machines). A bit dependant on hardware but works quite good.

Here you can find my VideoFX xtra - which is a freeframe host for Director

Here you can find and download PatchBox

Ive made a sample Director .dir file (works with Director 8.5 and later) that is available with the purchase of the VideoFX xtra, and that uses PatchBox (you have to download it also) and you are set to make your own vj visual synth app in Director and get the output in any vj app that supports freeframe 1.0

I will definitely make more samples for this kind of functionality in the future,
and include in the xtra package, and any customers previous or new, will also get these updates when available.

Note: Only PC windows for now..

Creds to Klumsy for this brilliant idea

Cheers.
