Default Strangest piece of gear?

As a gear head, I'm curious about what odd/strange pieces of gear folks are using.

My current favorite odd gear is a Fujix FV-7 (Here's an old ebay auction link that will eventaully go away, but they sell from time to time so you can usually see pix there; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW)

This is a NTSC slide/photo imager, the legs swing around and lights unfold from the head to make an all-in-one copy stand. It lets me zoom, works as a short range 'show the VJ' camera, has S-video and composite outs, will do a B&W or negative image.

I use it with a USB vid capture to grab hand written text/pix/posters/drivers licenses/body parts to mix into TranZendenT (cause I love the program but am not happy with the available dynamic text methods.) Having a live feed copy stand with good light has been really useful.

I'm sure there are those of you with deeply wierd gear, let's hear about it!

well, my wierdest piece of kit is definitely my brain... it does all kinds of crazy visual imaging, as well as multi-tasking other functions... ram is good, but needs a bigger hard drive...

sorry.... wish i had something a little more exotic to add to all this... i've tried experimenting with pretty much anything i can get my hands on... i use scrolling led signs... multiple slide projectors with dissolve controllers... dvds videos cameras...mixers..computers..lasers... malfunctioning televisions...projectors....oil and water lamps... led lights...

These 'brains', what do they go for on ebay? Can you get them new or are they always 'as is'?
