right i was going to put this up in the "how do you rate avit" thred but its loseing its self in to much backbiteing so i'm going to put it up hear, (if this thred decends into that then i'l just close it)
basicly the overall punter response is "there hasent been a gig like this for years, this good, this visual" now we know that punters are eseier to please then those backstage (something i tried to bring up in one of the talks, tho not very well) but as the party space is created for them to enjoy, experiance etc and not our own egos i think thats got to be a good thing secondley i've been talking to alice from technique and she is now reciving questions about how to get hold of the vj for shows from outher premoters hear in rainy leeds, which she is feilding our way so yes on the level of ferthering our cause |

clearly, after seeing what we did there, any show after that has NO video will just look boring....I'm very interested to see how this changes if not the world-wide VJ demand, then at least the demand there in Leeds...(Unj, you could end up benefiting the most!)

if that's the case : avit work on very well on a local scale (gathered that much) I'll say it again: what wasn't good backstage was more then over compensated by sheer enthusiasm and goodwill which is outnumbered ten to one from the UK to holland wise!!
kfix the details and keep it up : concept is good and execution will only go better by practise practise and practise : avit rocks

Fantastic.
This will spread from leeds, and hopefully will lead to more bookings for all of us. As a showcase it seems to have worked, as far as the punters and promoters are concerned, which is almost (though not really) as important as the fact that the night was the best fun I've had in a while. great news!
This agrees pretty well with the conversations I had with punters on the night - they were blown away by how much there was going on around the venue and the fact that a shopping center had been transformed to such an extent. I spent quiet a while earlier on wandering around the venue and saw lots of people looking at the screens, pointing things out to their friends and so on. The ones that I spoke to were well impressed by what they saw and even more impressed when I told them I was one of the people behind the visuals. Good news that word is spreading with promotors - promotor word of mouth is how we get all of our gigs (in combination with a sort of promotor keeping-up-with-the-jones thing I suspect). Once one promotor puts on a night with visuals, others start wanting it too. I'm not suprised that other promotors in Leeds want to contact VJs now - Technique have set an expectation in the minds of punters that other nights will want to follow or risk looking outdated. Dan.
