Intersect A VJ Microfest Disrupt Gallery, 145 K'Rd, Auckland, NZ Saturday 27th November 2004 --------------------------------------------------------------- Last years event was a great success with VJs from all over Aotearoa and the world and 2004 is looking to be even better. The event will be held over one day and will include performances from some of New Zealands most prolific VJs and will include ex-pats Metaluna. Along with Workshops during the day there will be 2 full mixing rigs open to all to have a play on. All daytime events will be free of charge with the performances asking for a gold coin donation. --------------------------------------------------------------- Workshops: History of Visual Arts / VJing Visual Hardware Featuring Edirol Mixers, Effects Units, MIDI, cameras and all the hardware you could think of. Hosted by lotech. NLE Editing Content Creation & Production hosted by Fibro Current Visual Software including demonstrations of Resolume2, VDMXX, Grid2, Modul8 and Electronika. Artists talking include: Metaluna (UK), lotech & Jigsaw. Discussion To finish it all off - anything that couldn't be covered earlier - how to actually survive as a VJ in this crazy world, finding gigs, content, how to dress like a real VJ.... open to all. --------------------------------------------------------------- Performances From 9pm, Gold coin donation. meeting some wicked people over here - but will still miss out  maybe i can bring them all back to NZ and have a multimedia takeover event in Grey Lynn.??

Just a heads up and reminder to all NZ/AU VJs. We've begun early preperation for this years event and am calling for any input and workshop ideas.
So far it confirmed for the 12th of November and will be held at the new MIC venue on Galatos St (Auckland). Last years event was great but we want to make it better, the long term plan is to transform into AVITNZ this year but with the planned Australian event we thought we'd hold off - Morph????? WTF is going on? Email/PM/Fax/Courier Pigeon your ideas.
