Default looking for sw with matte features

hi!
I'm working on OS X (Ti Powerbook 1.5) and I'm looking for a vj software for live mixing. i've tried arkaos and modul 8 but none of them can handle mattes. (... or i couldn't find this feature) what i need is a sw to mix 2 layers (forground and background) by using a matte (black-white footage). which sw do you recommand?
thanks.

is the matte embedded in each layers quicktime file or is it a third key layer?

I think Modul8 and GRID2 can read quicktimes with alpha. as far as mixing through a key layer I thought Arkaos can do that and I think VDMX can.

Flowmotion and Resolume can handle mask layers, the former can also handle animated masks.

If you are happy with a clips with alpha layer (and not a second one with the mask inside) you can do this with arkaos.
Prepare your clip with transparency inside AE, save in in a codec that supports it. (Like Animationcodec with 50-75 %).

If you really need the independend mask layer (you want to do wild wipes between layers) you could take a look at Vjo for PC.
