Trying to solve a problem the easiest way possible - thought somebody here might know, or know where to look. Involved with a band doing live shows who need to project videos for tracks in synch with the music. The live setup is Powerbook-A running music backing tracks (audio and midi) in Logic OS9 and another Powerbook-B plugged into a projector running some kind or v-jay software that plays quicktime files of the video content - this can either be OS9 or OSX. Any ideas? Do i need i third synch source or can i do it via MMC or MIDI? Is there a simple piece of vjay software that simply plays back QT files via midi?

Check out Vidvox Grid, simple QT triggering program, works great with MIDI, it's just notes to clips.

ArKaos is PC/Mac compatible and works fine. It gets the MIDI and can also play movies with different transitions, on the music beat if you get the audio signal.
Can scratch or set the movie speed from MIDI controller, and very easy to use ! ![]() 21 days full trial: http://www.arkaos.net |
