Default New Footage Site

Hello everybody,
I am organizing a vjfestival in Torino Italy and we created a website for this event.
On the website there is also a download section with clips contributed by participants. The clips (41 at present) are free to download and are covered by a creative commons license.

the site is: www.eyejam.org (go to the download section)
I' would be glad to recive any feedback and new contributions to the site.
Bye,
mjs2020

Just briefly the CC license for this

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/

says:

Noncommercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

so no (paid) VJ use for it then?

Well, you are not allowed to use the content in piad gigs unless you contact the author of the work asking for permission. (email contact will be possibile asap on the site).
You may use the work for inspiration and use it in no-profit situations (eg parties to raise funds for some cause). I do lots of those.

Personally (other contributers of the site may think differently though) I don't have big problems in authorising you to use my content in paid situations but I request that you ask me first.

I belive sharing is a way to learn from each other. If you find my clips useful I think it would be nice for you to give me something useful be it feedback, opinions, ideas or other clips.
bye,
mjs2020

Cool that is fine. I was just confirming that is the case. People often your the CC license as a catch all when it is not. Everyone knows now.

nice one for making showing clips part of the deal, and making them cc lic'd

...and i _love the image of the guy mixing with the tv-screens there instead of decks, really nicely done.

its a shame, i've just taken them offline, but i had two videos of when i played at the club2club festival in turin in 2002. ah well. i still dream of the food market, giorgio of softlykicking did me proud hunting out the best cheeses and salami!

I'm working on php and mysql and hopefully in a few days there willl be a way on the site (eyejam.org) to upload your own videos, put your credits&comments, choose a license etc.
I'll warn you on this thread when that will be possible. We do not have webspace/badwidth limitations.
Thanks for the positive feedback everybody! It's good to get some when you decide to share your work with others.
Toby, I missed your set here in turin really sorry for that. Next year if we have a bigger budget on EyeJam we will love to have you, and others on the list, here to eat cheese & salami while vjing!
ciao!

If you'd like help, I can probably give you code to do this within about 30 minutes! (done it for work, just need to cut 'n paste and edit a few things)
