Default Centrino vs P4

I'm looking for a new laptop... but everywhere I look I see Centrino stuff...

I'v got a P4 2.66 with a shitty GFX card (IGP345m w/ shared vidram) so I want something thats equally fast, of faster

How does a centrino compare to a P4 with videostuffs?

But prices of a 1.7 centrino excess the price of a P4 3.2 laptop

the Q is, is it worth the dough?

doubt it, afaik the centrino has been designed for todays mobile wireless folk, with all the wirless/network/la-de-da-de-da-da-da shenanegans built in/on/around the processor. me reckons if this is for vjing stick with the straight p4, and avoid all the consumer/markteing/intel/bullshit todo with the centrino. the prices are inflated because they offer the latset all inone solution, when really all the benifits of a centrino (like low power consumption) are realtivly in-applicable to vjing

Hmmmm, some lights & comments about Centrinos VS P4s VJwise.

http://www.powernotebooks.com/centrino.php

... Even so I?m not totally convinced if I?d pick one of those specially if you can?t get rid of that required new Intel graphic chipset which makes Centrinos what they truely are, to deliver my Visualadry.

The intel chipset is ok, better then the ALi thats in my HP nx9010

Centrino didn't convince me so I bought a Promedion Vx5500 packed with a P4 2.8Ghz 800FSB + HyperThreading, ATi m10 9600 PRO 128MB DDR, 60GB 7200rpm
