i'm sorry i have trawled the site, and obviously i am being dumb, but i am trying to find a codec that will work on both vjamm on the pc and arkaos on the mac. photo j-peg used to work, im thinking m-jpeg a, or maybe one of those h230 or whatever number it is. any help. or even abuse, is welcome.

am I allowed to still ask dumb questions? I've read all the codec threads, and I gather that sorenson 3 is the best for posting stuff to the web? I have QT pro and when I use the export feature to streaming medium or even broadband high the quality still sucks. I notice that movie previews that major studios are putting out stream fine and the quality looks way better than mine. What am I missing?
