Default Ableton live +Elektronika live

I think i may have created the ultimate audio visual setup!! maybe. At the moment i have two pcs jury rigged togeather, one running Elektronika for video with a dv cam as a player and the other pc running Ableton live for audio samples, the whole setup is controlled by a Novation Remote 25, the whole rig is sent to a projector and PA accordingly.
I think that what makes this setup work so well is the software used and the fact that both software packages are so intuitive and adaptable.
I have spent about ten years messing about with software and computers, and finally i think i'll be satisfied with my setup for a few years , bar the odd hardware upgrade.
The thing that gets me the most, is that being a artist, i can adapt the whole system and create audio/visual installations, i can transmit audio, pre mixed or live video over networks, the internet, bluetooth or even to mobile phones if i wanted to, it all sounds kinda crazy and a bit geeky, but i am truely excited about all this.
Somtimes i ask myself why i do all this' and i guess the only reason is because i can and i enjoy it, is that a bit pretentious? maybe, but all the people i have met friends and strangers who do work like this DJs to artist's all have this little bit of a god complex, the need to control what the peolpe see and hear.

cool
I have elektronika too, but haven't been able to get too into it yet becuase my PC is really wussy. new PC is in the works though
My plan has been to build and A/V setup using an external sequencer (first try with my jomox xbase) to create both the audio and control/sequence elektronika.
Are you doing any sequencing/syncing of elek via midi? or just controlling parameters w/the remote25?

I have an old 486 i use to sequence the whole setup, but this is for home use only, but i mostly just use the remote 25, i do have plans to get hold of an MC 303 Groove box which wil be an ideal sequencer for gigs, for free as well!!!

the MC303 would make a decent sequencer I think, just know that for the parts you can either have an internal sound OR control an external device...not both!

dont have too high hopes for the mc 303 as MIDI controller.
except for MIDI Clock it doesnt send much MIDI out ... none of the knobs/buttons send out MIDI afaik.

If yu need a real hardware sequencer go for a mc 50 mkII from Roland, they're quite cheap and strong : (with a midikeyboard),yu can even use a mc50(not mkII yu'll have less notes) or mc 500or if yu have a few more money get a rm1x but yu won't really need it with ableton !
