So last night I was looking into the TimeWarp FreeFrame effector and how the TZT wrapper class is supposed to work and failed miserably at getting it to compile.
I emailed Pete Warden about this, but If anybody has a VC++ freeframe project workspace (DSW preferred over DSP) that compiles with the TZT wrapper class (and works in TZT) could you please zip it up and email it to me? Some good ideas have been posted, and I've got some more bumping around in my head, but would like to get my noggin around this FreeFrame/TZT thing before effector coding continues. Much thanks for the written appreciation. If you have any ideas for effects that you would like to see post them here and I'll do what I can about implementing them.
I've been stupid busy lately, but Pete Warden just responded with a possible fix that will get me up to speed making FreeFrame effectors. ![]() Hopefully I can find some time in the next week to kick out a couple effectors in FreeFrame. And if anybody has any favorite TZT esotic effectors they'd like to see rolled to FreeFrame post it here. Colored From The Sun, -Esotic |

The fix that Pete Warden sent me has officially resolved my FreeFrame issues and I will hopefully get to do some productive development this evening.
I was able to get the TimeWarp compiled and running in TZT, so I'll start with the time lapse effector, and then I have a 2D geometry adjustment I'd like to try and then will probably move to porting the better of my previous TZT effects to FreeFrame. Not that I expect to get all this done tonite, it's just my general game plan. As always, if you have some ideas please share them. Hasta La Vista, Baby, -Esotic |

You (and others) were asking for an effector that used a video to blend two other videos together. What do you think about using a mod of Pete's LiveInput effector to accomplish the task instead of requiring the effector to read files off the disk?
I'd like to avoid reading AVI files off the disk (mainly cuz I'm slack and try to learn as little as possible), and this seems like a good compromise. Or I could buffer one of the input vids and then use the image from 150 frames ago to blend the two current frames. I did some code modding done last night, but got distracted by chasing poon-tang. I'll be back on it (the coding) this weekend. I Heart Girls, -Esotic |

I've been making some minor headway with FreeFrame, but nothing distributable yet. I'm putting time in as I have it available. And I'm still waiting for the windows port of ProjectM to be released. And I've been busy preparing for a whole slew of upcoming shows.
In my usual supporting fashion I'm assisting a local artist with videographic and image editing services (http://symbodigy.com) Still frames of me hard at work and play: And some nice still frames of the main hottie. I mean, artist. Cheers, -Esotic |
