Hi Everyone,
I am really keen to get into some Vj'ing / projection mapping but a bit confused on what projector to get to do the job. I am planning to use it indoors in a club environment to project onto a Dj booth with various hexagons a a few boxes. Probably looks at a size of about 15foot square (maybe). The 2 contenders so far are: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/309782...rlrefer=search and http://www.avpartsmaster.net/catalog...ucts_id=292125 The main differences being that one is a short throw projector with a higher lumen output whilst the other projector has a better resolution and contrast ratio. There is another option (http://www.benq.com/product/projecto...specifications) that lies in the middle that has the higher resolution, short throw but slightly less lumen output (at 2800). So is it worth sacrificing wxga resolution in the name of 200 extra lumens and a short throw projector? Or would it be better having the higher resolution and slightly less lumen output and not as good short throw range? Or maybe meet in the middle buy sacrificing 200 lumens but still having good contrast, short throw and wxga? Any help or opinions on the matter would be most helpful. Many thanks! Thanks very much (c:
Can no one help me out with any opinions or answers to questions? I am leaning towards the WXGA projector with 2800 lumen output. Any thoughts? |

forget the short throws
they usually have to go at the centre of the screen. I'd avoid widescreens myself, unless you particularly need one. the 4:3 projectors are more light efficient |
