2011 was a year when I walked away from VJ and said hello to live cinema, I made an archive footage based show and am currently creating a more science type performance.
Have spent more time creating than performing but should be in more of a position to peform in 2012 after having 2 burglaries in 2 years.

I've sort of reached the top of the ladder in my day job as archive footage product developer, there is no room for more upward movement and I've done all the lateral stuff, so I went part time instead
Been using my spare time to concentrate on creating, picking up on AE after not using it for years and bassically enjoying being back in step with the visual thing.

I'm not intending on going back to club VJing as I really hated that, but will see what the future brings and go with the flow, I think the most important thing for now is to just enjoy things and keep improving etc etc

I think the only newish visual development I've seen over the year is more musicians playing along to films and visuals, thats how it should have always been and is also where it started with the silent film era...full circle

Great to hear what everyone's been up to! The board has been largely dead of late...

Congrats on all your achievements!

2011 was a pretty crazy and largely shit year for me in every realm outside of vjing, and all those things prevented me from doing much vjing.

But doing less allowed me to put more into what i did do, so mapping and immersive environments became part of my repertoire. its also the year i fell in love with vvvv and i hope that affair continues!

2012 already looks set to be the most exciting year for my visual career in quite some time, teaming up with talented friends and focusing on what i want to do rather than what someone tells me to do will be big tools in my arsenal!

Here's to making things look awesome and creating spectacular experiences for people
