Default Characer Animator ::: 3d Modeler and animator

Looking for: 3d Modeler and animator
Contact Details: 3d@colour-burst.com

I'm looking for a character modeler animator for a corporate job, a walk on, some standing around and then a zoom in to the face, which has got to look good (photo realistic) and like a specific person...
Preferably UK based, but if your good doesn't have to be, must be able to work to a brief and to a deadline, but that should go without saying really!
Cheers guys

Sorry to hijack this thread - Mods, feel free to move this somewhere else if this is not appropriate.

Just in case you haven't thought about it : have you considered hiring a look-alike and turn this into a video shoot instead ? If photo-realistic is the goal, then unless you have tons of money it's not going to happen. Even with tons of money, the uncanny valley is a deep one.

I once had planned to work with 3d animated characters with motion capture and a skillfull team of animators for a big show I've worked on. The goal was to reproduce 4 very very famous british musicians but the results were not photo-realistic. For a still picture it was perfect. But when moving there were too many little details missing to make it look perfect. The cloth and hair were not flying around as naturally as they should have. The body language was nowhere as expressive as what you'd get with a real actor.

It took a month of rehearsal with 4 actors, 4 tailor-made costumes and wigs, but the end result was so much more convincing than what we were able to do with virtual characters in 3d with motion capture. And it was cheaper in the end !

Think about it, it might be worth it.

Already have
3d is what was pitched, but I'm having a meeting next week to try and suggest just that, with a closeup using a projection mapped head mesh and a fade on the way amidst motion blur!

The uncanny valley is more apparent with famous people rather than generic models. Obvioulsy a problem in teh future but I don't think we are there yet.
I mean we don't create realistic enough models yet to really be in the uncanny valley scenerio so I am not sure if that comes into play.

Now i think photo realistic is always relative but you can get convincing stuff even in realtime now. So a render peice should be more so.

To be honest it all depends on the budget for a job like this. I am sure with a million budget you could get something the people would be very happy with.

i work as vfx compositor

in that case if you only need walk cycle and head close shoot , you can always using cheap software to get what you need , like Daz 3d .

to create a animation from modeling , you need a full team of rigger , texture , animator and compositor .

for me it is more like a business side beyond than just vjing .
