Lightbulb The Spangler

Hey all, thought you might dig this! I've been using a custom-built midi guitar/keytar as my VJ controller for about a year now and have been getting a lot of awesome feedback. I finally got some high quality pics up so you could see what was goin on!

Also HERE's a direct link to the Spangler post on my site, JesseNikette.com

I use various other hardware in conjunction with the Spangler and Resolume Avenue is my current VJ software.

or

Please feel free hit me up with any questions you might have and thanks to everyone for the positive feedback!! If it wasnt for all the people that enjoy what i do, i wouldnt be doing it .. so this one's for you!

Thanks so very much!

Haha, why thank you!! .. Yes i do indeed rock out on stage regularly with a band called the White Arrows .. Most people just think i'm doing something audio related despite the embeded video screen on my guitar, but i'm strictly vids!

Nice! I was also thinking of using a real guitar. I can hook this guitar up to my computer, but I'm still searching for a program that can convert the guitar sound to notes to midi. (don't know this exists, but could be like a guitar tuner)

Roland used to do an effects module that you plugged your guitar into.

World's first video guitar?

hmmm

I'd be careful about claiming firsts, certainly when there have been people making this kind of controller for over 10 years!

livid created a viditar in 2003 if i remember right. then theres this guy vj smoking who designed one back in 2006.
i would use ribbon controllers instead of keys, would feel more like a guitar.
