vdmxx - don't know.

grid pro - a version of grid pro has just gone on tour with Dave Clark (the techno guy not the 1940's 5-peice!), see the VJC newswire item 'creamfields'. that was a special hardwired version with a featureset specificially for the tour, so grid pro i can't vouch for but they have certainly built a polyphonic, midi'd grid with a few bells and whistles =]

Exclamation upcoming releases

hi

As Orson Welles once said, "we will serve no wine, before its time."

so it's taking just a little longer than originally planned, but we're getting really close to releasing both. (i'm talkin days not weeks)

VDMX has been completely rebuilt for OSX and when you finally see it, i'm sure you'll agree its worth the wait.

GRID PRO has indeed had a special build for Dave Clark ... so its just as close

that's the latest... thanks for your patience! + see you at AVIT

Wow, reply from the master himself. Now that's really good news, Johnny!

We have an event over here end september and i've considered using vdmx and grid (for hires) together on 2 powerbooks. But i can't use the vdmxx beta i could manage to run it quite stable when switching overdrive off, but i still get "unexpected quits" after some time - always when workload gets too high, boom.

And for grid i'd like to have the additional features of the pro version (very curious about what that will be).

Would be great to have both releases till then - otherwise i'll go with vdmx3 and grid.

Btw - has anyone noticed a difference in output quality between vdmx3/os9 and vdmxx/os10? I have my 2nd desktop set to 720x576 on both systems, and the output with osx 10.2.6/overscan seems to be better than with os9 - sharper, better contrast. halucination?

WOW WOW WOW - VDMXX B5

... it really has been completely rewritten. its not the coolest mixer on the street anymore, its a complete virtual rig architecture. its one thing hearing about it as a work in progress, its another seeing something totally new yet strangely familiar load up on your tibook.

more soon. people start playing, this is cool!
