Default paid and low pay/no pay job section discushion

when the paid and low pay/no pay sections within the forum it was because there was only one section regarding geting vj's work

and as a comunity we found that peple would moan directectly to the op if there was no money involved

so it was thought buy one and all that we should create a pand and low pay/no pay jobs could be offerd

with the aim that the low pay/no pay section would alow for a individual to as for the use of a vj even if they couldnt pay and then it would be up to the individual wether they would want to offer there time/mony/skills to such an event

i have realy noticed that this is now longer the case and maybe we as a comunity need either use the forum sections in that way or we need to rethink it and set it up in such a way that we all aggre upon

Just make threads in the low pay section have a no reply ability.
That would stop us from posting questions that hang the promoters out to dry.

Well from my point of view the questions although repetitive are valid and certainly not childish.
If the objective of the exercise is to reduce posts that dont come across as fluffy and warmly welcoming, then my original comment is a solution to that.
However as a grown up I feel I have the right to question when I feel someone is trying to take advantage of me (and/or others) financially.
But hey thats just me and my grown up ways.

its allways going to be the dilema of a free speach democrocey

and as of yet we havent worked a way out of that bind but within the peramiters of vjf i would surgest that there has to be an agreable way of dealing with this situation

because i do (edited to take out incredible bad gramma) see people geting pissy and prissy about the fact that someone is not willng to work within your world veiw as a valid reason to flame war premotoers/party creators

because if you are honest whatever you or i say they are just going to do what ever they want to do

so

there will be people who actualy WANT TO (my capitales) do the gig and what is wrong with that?

I have no problem with people who want to get out and gig/do stuff.
I do have a problem with perceived unfairness ergo DJs getting apparently properly paid and VJs as an after thought getting offered the remaining crumbs etc.
The only certain way to stop the postings asking relevant questions albeit it questions that have a hard edge to them is to make the section a no reply thing.
With the most recent one I posted in I was born and spent the first half of my life in Dover (location of the event) and wouldnt even consider doing a well paid gig there! (otherwise I would probably have ignored it).

if you dont have a problem with people going out and selling there wares whay are you moaning ?

also the only reason i started spouting bolocks about age is that because i have personaly be a witness to a perticualr experiance for x-years and vj has never mad it big -

and i dont think we wil be able to comand large scale fees -

then let people meke there own mind up wetere they pursonaly want to do a gig or not

you as an individual do not have a ri8ght to tell them not to do the gig and as its in the no pay/low pay section thats the physical reality of the gig get over it
