Default Modul8 glitching

Hi all
When I load more than 2 page banks(16 clips per page) into Modul8 it seems to lag when I trigger clips and run glitchy, the red loading dot also starts to appear on the clips on the 1st page and the more clips I add the more of these red loading dots appear?

Im quessing it may be somrthing to do with my laptop im running the 09 white macbook,

Is there anything I can do besides updating my mac?

Cheers

yes
dont load so many clips.
keep it to one page and it will run fast.

otherwise, try lowering the memory settings in preferences.
I find it performs better with lower settings.

Hey there, I also have the same laptop & the same issue.

My problem tends to get worse as a night goes on. Usually due to the laptop getting warm/hot. A laptop cooler/riser stand might help?

That seems a pretty strange to me.
I'm using a white macbook from '07 with 4gb ram and I have no problems with completely filling out all the media pages

individual clip settings in the media bank, clip dimensions, clip duration and clip file size will all play a part in this.

I had my 1st gig on the W.E and it went really well, The only problem was this problem,^^^^ I had to delete old clips so I could import new clips,
What is going to be the best way to fix this,
-New Software?
-New Laptop?

All I want is to be able to load my whole set up at the start of the night,

Cheers

You can use the media set load module to organise your clips and load them in "decks" as and when required with a single click. Your other option is to add RAM to your mac.
