Default Laptop video output into another laptop - what options?

id like to feed the video output of one laptop into another laptop. if possible id like to use VGA or HDMI as the output ( or maybe LAN ? ).

the laptop which will be having the signal fed into it has an Expresscard slot as well as the usual FW and USB.

any thoughts?

thanks.
A.

the aim of this is to make a small portable system that allows me to use vga to connect to projectors, so a Hippo is not the solution - otherwise id just use the v440 and Addcit servers i have access too

Network video streaming by use of FreeFrame plugins by bigfug:

BigFugWiki
fugStream

PS: I'm yet to test this out; I have a couple of new (second hand) machines at home now that I could do some tests on... Need to (re-)install an OS first.

yeah this is my first option except ive just realised that win 7 doesnt allow networking via FW ( i have win7 aand win XP laptops ) and i dont have a crossover cable for the lan port and the stupid shops have just shut until monday....grrrr

otherwise im thinking of looking at the blackmagic intensity shuttle ( costs about 1/3 of the mx02 )
