I want to mix mpeg music video on my computer. What software is available? I mix with hardware and project on dance clubs now.
I would like some software that would allow me to mix mpeg files, dv input, power point and etc. A real bonus would be if I could add chroma key, desolves and effects. |

Hi TNT.
It'll help if you let us know which computer you have. |

hmmm he said powerpoint as well so that would be a PC then.
Iguess all the above fits the bill for VisualJockey. although to get sound mixing as well you have to place a "wav" node into your effects in Visual Jockey. Dunno of other software that mixes audio and video tho would be glad to know of any. Also a non vj software for this type of job would be TradViz or possible MMbuilder? |

Mixmeister version 5 mixes both audio and video, with pitch control. "Unique" interface, but I'm told it works. It's for the PC.
For the Mac (PowerPoint is cross-platform), I've just had another look at MegaSeg, a really basic DJ mixer with pitch control, that also allows you to mix quicktime music videos. Unless there's something lurking under the surface here, it's nowhere near as advanced as Traktor, but Traktor doesn't do video. Do any of you VDMX users think it could accomplish this? krielx |
