Hi All,
I am in need of some help asap for a project with work. I have been tasked with the following and thought initially it would be quite easy but it seems i am wrong. The problem. I currently have 4 security cameras which are controlled at a rack and then have four feeds that go into monitors in the same building, the camera feeds are wireless into the rack. I have been asked to take the 4 images and split it so we still have the 4 images in one building and then put them into a kvm switch, feed it across fibre onto a monitor in another building. Possible solution. I thought it would be as simple as splitting each of the vga outputs at the back of the rack, feeding them into a 4 way kvm, from the kvm converting from vga to fibre, putting it through the SM fibre patching we have between the buildings and back out onto the monitor via a media convertor. I found this link.. http://www.instructables.com/id/Make...dering-is-fun/ and thought that as i have cat5 to fibre convertors in stock, that i could make up this cable from the kvm to cat5/media conv and onto fibre... Hope someone could shed some light on some options if this cannot be done. Cheers |
