I'm wondering if video patch software exists. By that I mean something like midi-yoke, a software patch cable, but for video streams rather than midi. The way I envision it works is that you are running two pieces of software, like VDMX and Resolume. VDMX is outputting to a software-based external screen. Resolume is passed this same stream as a video input feed, in the same way an external USB camera shows up in the sources pane. The whole thing is configured using system preferences or control panel.
I've searched a bit but I guess I'm searching for the wrong thing or I'm looking at this problem the wrong way. Is this even possible or is it an undesirable thing to do. BTW, I'm sorry it I've posted this in the wrong place, I don't use forums much. |
