Hi All,
I've got a gig coming up and my good old trusty copy of Arkaos has now burnt through all it's serial numbers and the laptop with my last license on has bitten the dust ![]() So, as I'm broke, I need recommendations for free or supercheap vj software that'll run on a low spec machine; I don't need much in the way of FX as I'm shying away from them these days, but i really need to be able to save a show. Midi would be nice but not having it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. Needs to be quite lightweight as i'm running it on a low spec machine, but I won't be using loads of layers or fx anyways. |

moonster (old, not maintained, but at least that means it's truly light)
elektronika (free, but perhaps not exactly lightweight...) |

Elektronika is a nice piece of software if you have the horsepower, but OpenTZT kicks all sorts of butt on my old XP box.
Just be prepared to spend some time configuring the software. But it's worth it. A very fast performer. |
