Default After Effects- freaky face

Hi,


at 35 seconds there is a really fancy effect, I'd like to create something similar for a show I'm doing. Can someone explain me how to start

Time stretch freeframeplugin looks abit like this.

So does one of the horizontal stripe delays on the KPE1 around 70 I think

I read that word a few times, what is a bleed? All google is helping me with is a band and something with blood...

Cool track there, yes weird mirror effect with displacement.. no idea...

you can do this with reshape, though it was probably originally done with a plug in.

i think this effect is otherwise known as blow:


slitscan's a good idea, also after effects' time displacement effect comes to mind.

The video at the link below shows an example of an ink bleed in after-effects (takes a while to load). On closer inspection the effects in general (in the Hedonism video) look like some kind of liquid ripple plastic wraps, like the ones you get in Photoshop, so possibly not what you're looking for, but maybe not so far off... Was thinking that at that level of video production, perhaps they would be using Avid systems, so maybe worth looking in those effects packages for some clues? Good luck!!

Last night on TV during the BBC's current shiny tip your head at cinematography documentary series 'Solar System' I feel reasonably sure I could see the hand of After Effects and some web tutorials at various moments.
