I know there must be a workaround, to this. But I cant seem to get the full range of avi codecs to show up, where they used to in the previous versions.
I tried to disable "no re-compress rendering", but nothing changes. It seems that I can only select default configurations, like there is some wizardry going on. Any ideas? |

Which codec do you want?
are you running the 64bit version of vegas? i've been running vegas 64 for a while and haven't had too many issues, but i pretty much only ever render to Picvideo 4 (64bit version) or quicktime. I don't remember the codec dialog being different to the 32bit version of vegas. If you need to use codecs which don't have a 64bit version then you can of course install 32bit vegas on your 64bt OS. It will load vegfiles from 64bit vegas and allow you to render to old codecs.

Vegas is 64bit and the codec is PicVideo MJPG V3. So thats the problem pinned. Thanks Tom, Luckily Im still setting up for a serious editing task and there is still time to update to V4.
