Default Moral dilemma

I have a moral dilemma, the evil part of me is winning the internal battle at the moment, but it seems wrong, help.

Shall i tell a new competitor that has cropped up locally that his great idea of showing the World Cup matches on an outdoor 20ft wide screen with a 2500 ansi projector at 6pm in June in the UK may not be all he's expecting (in terms of image clarity, or visibility!), or shall i let him crash & burn and possibly face the wrath of a few hundred pissed off (and up) fat blokes in team shirts?

All depends on your relationship with him. Do you want the outcome of it for you to be friends, or would you prefer him out of business?

if youve got daylight screens you could get an extra hire? and save a riot!
Btw ,Im in South Africa and the hassle of showing any of the matches in public is hectic , fan parks , bars, resorts all having to deal with fifa and their sponsors! no one here even drinks Budweiser??

I've always found the closer I keep to my competitors, the more work I get from them!!

Cheers for the replies.

Evil Col won the battle, he can learn the hard way.

I dont have a projector bright enough, and i'm already booked for other screens in the area so theres no financial reason to get involved with him on this one.
Just didn't want him getting into a difficult situation on the day, he's a 1 man band like me and i know how that can be, but i suppose he's gonna give it a try out prior to the event.

The real evil part of you would focus on the fact that such a show is most probably illegal : you are not allowed to display a broadcast to a public crowd without permit.

2500 lumens 20 foot wide outdoors in june is not a broadcast!

if it ain't LED you ain't gonna see it.

this is the true, If you really wanted to be evil, your course of action is clear. But then again we don't have all the info, maybe he's teamed up with a bar or someone who does have permission..?

anyway, my opinion, I usually find making friends is always better than making enemies.
