Question Monitor advice

Im looking to buy a new monitor. I found a pretty good one (NEC MULTISYNC EA231WMI) which sells for around 400dollars. But I also found this one NEC MultiSync P221W, for 600 dollars.

I might post alot of stupid questions, but if you dont ask, you will never know.

What is important to look for when you choose a monitor for creating VJ content? Is color accuracy as important as for video editors? Is pixel ratio that important? Does 1600x1050 vs 1900x1200 matter?

It doesn't really matter what res screen you have, it won't really affect the content you make. You only really need a large screen when you need more screen 'real estate' or just because you like things to be bigger. You can still create good content on a 17" as you would a 24".

Monitors by iiyama are used widely in the graphics and video industry as the colours are good and responce times are very fast.

That doesn't make sense unless you forgot to put how many inches you wanted....

I would go as big as you can. If you expect to be making 1080p content then you will want a minimum of 1920x1080 (1080p 16:9). You will probably find that if you get a computer monitor it will be 16:10 and a broadcast monitor 4:3 and 16:9 switchable.

not any more, nowadays because of the FullHD craze there tend to be more computer monitors with 16:9 AR on the market (also cause they are cheaper to produce). i still recommend 16:10 because you got more screen space, and a 24" typically has 1920*1200, so you still can display hullhd content.

So I get that there is a better to get one good quality screen, instead of three screens with lesser quality, right?

Can anybody recommend a 4:3, 17 or 19inch, monitor which is good for video editing? I want to have a three monitor display for creating content with the triplehead2go.
