I can certainly say that Molson is much better, and stronger, than the PBR.. And PBR(for some insane reason) seems to be all the rage these days well at least amongst the snowboarders.....

Having a degree will not give you any advantage when it comes to getting AV tech work. Most people who are working as AV techs have no qualifications (umm nobody offers a degree in pushing next slide on a powerpoint). Instead most of us have been though the same kind of apprenticeship type thing where you start off cleaning and carrying stuff and eventually work your way up to the heady heights of vision mixer or whatever. Really I would go to college and study something that you find interesting that is not directly related to visuals. You will be better off as an AV tech with a history degree than as an AV tech with a diploma in post production. Study a subject which you find interesting to expand your mind, while you study get some part time work from an AV company, or do Local Crew work (get in touch with your local iatse branch www.iatse-intl.org to find out about local crew work). whatever qualifications you aim toward remember that most people who work in AV and Broadcasting have no relevant qualifications in these subjects. Get yourself a well rounded education that leaves options open for you, your far less likely to regret getting a proper degree in a real subject than spending the same time on a post production course which will not really help get you a job. |

Hey go here to get an idea what is out there.
http://www.about-elearning.com/visua...ns-degree.html As far as doing A/V tech work, you should be doing that right now. Most high schools have AV depts. and if you are not doing this, get involved with it. Also, one of the best AV tech in Montreal is a VJ on this forum. Give Many2 a shout, maybe he might just take you in under his wing...
