I use Resolume, it works great!

As for the "lumens" questions, it all depends on the size of the screens you are using.

In a club in Rotterdam we have 4 by 3 meter (or something) screen, in combination with a 4000 Ansi-Lumen projector I get a very nice picture.

I have also used my own 1200 Ansi-Lumen projector for some gigs.... but then I make sure the picture is smaller than the the size of my own 4x3 screen.

Question 1:

I have a 2200 Lumen projector

Question 2:

don't go cheap. Get the good stuff.

Question 3:

Don't know. I bought my projector. Look in the fone book.

Question 4:

I use Arkoas. It's easy and works great for what i do. I run it on a PIII 800 with Windoze 98.

rent screens
2200-3000ansi lumen
call around to get the best quote
and i'm not sure if i would call resolume stable... it's what i use but it locks up every other gig... which is no problem if you have more than your computer... i.e. live feed/vcr/dvd

xiayu I don't know what is wrong with your set up, but I have used resolume, for a 1 1/2 with not one crash during a performance. I find resolume one of the most stable programmes I have and would defiantly recommend it.

i use resolume with a dual head card.

So far the only problem i've had is when i was playing in a sweatbox of a club, where it was hummid and 90deg. The pc started to stutter after 7hrs! but i suppose thats not that bad

My set up is as PIII 600mhz running windows 2000,
I have two graphics cards,
768mb of Ram,
My files are 360x288
I have ran clips that are 3minutes long, and clips that are 5 seconds long, and I use 2 or 3 layers at a time.

Once you have your set up rock solid resolume should happily tick over.
