Can anyone help.
I want to get AVMIXER up and running on my Powerbook, 1.67GHZ, 2GB ram, Imic soundcard. Everything seems to work but a can't seem to set the audio correctly. Sometimes there is no output, sometimes no input, audio level don't work and even the master gain won't turn the audio off?????? Also will AVMIXER work with the torq, or any other, timecode cds??? This is the main attraction as I am a DJ moving into visuals. I also have a demo of Virtual DJ. Can this be hooked up using an Imic so I can use my CD turntable for control? I keep getting ASIO errors (Macs use core audio so what gives??). Failing those does anyone know why Futuredecks won't play anything apart from MPEGs and they are rendered with a blue tint on the output screen?? Thanks Zac |

AVMIXER is junk - it has never worked properly on any machine that i've seen.
Virtual DJ works well and has timecode vinyl / cd support. Serato Video is also worth checking out.

Virtual DJ, at least the video element, does have some issues. Some maybe sorted out via tweaking the config, but its not obvious.
After playing with it a while, you will find these problems, and either work around them, or use something else. Shame that tracktor doesn't have a video element
