Default UK Iasdora Conference

A little teaser....

I have been given the go ahead to do an Isadora Confernece at Doncaster University Centre in March 2009. I am currently talking to Mark Coniglio (creator) and a few guest speakers. It will be a full day of speakers, workshops, Q&A and a free lunch included. Subjects will include VJ applications as well as theatre, dance and insillation performance using Isadora.

More info to follow.... but its going to be great. Everyone welcome!

Thoughts?

As I'm just up the road I'd certainly be interested in attending, keep me posted.

Sounds really good. Bit of a trek from S. Wales but I don't think that should be to much of a problem.

Even if it's just to say thanks to Mark for answering all my questions on the forum.

Another reminder to everyone, the event is running and e-posters/flyers will be up and about in the next week or so.

It will be great for anyone who uses isadora already to meet and discuss the practical applications of Isadora from a wide variety of people in an number of artistic backgrounds.

Also, there will be a begineer/introductionary workshop on the Thursday 19th March held by Isadora creator Mark Conilgio.

Any questions then PM me.

Cheers.

These are the first versions of the flyers and may be subject to change over the next few days - so use these as a guide only until further notice.

Please note we can also provide overnight accommodation for a very small fee (cheaper than any hotel nearby)

Thanks,
Graham

Quick update:

JoeST will be giving us a talk on the "Wii & Why" looking at the Wii remote and Wii balance board and how we apply it/them to Isadora in performances. Joe will be giving us some demonstrations of how he has used the Wii hardware in various ways and will go on to discuss the feedback processes whilst using these alternative, but increasingly popular, controllers.

MixedApe will be demonstrating his Audio-Visual Syncing techniques in a VJ style presentation. Showing us practical uses of VJ Isadora patches combined with other software. MixedApe has also been looking at 3D motion tracking which he may (if we ask him nicely!) show us as well.

Nick from Tinker-it (http://www.tinker.it/) will be showing us the Arduino board. The Arduino is becoming popular with Isadora users as well as other electronic artists. Nick will be showing us how Isadora can control the boards by various methods including Open Sound Control (OSC)

Gav is hopefully going to be showcasing the 'peepshow' project that has become increasingly talked about on the forum.

Hello All.

I will be sending over 400 flyers to approx 150 Universities today and tomorrow so as of next week these two days will be limited to approx 160 places each day.

Please check your diaries ad fill out the online booking form to get your name on the list ASAP!

160 places sounds like a lot but there is already talk of a coach coming up already...

Hope you can make it, and again any questions then PM, email or throw a Mars bar at me - I don't mind!
