Default OTZT - tutorial help wanted

Is anybody still using OpenTzT?

During my gigs the last couple of weeks there has been a huge interest in the software.
I want to create a tutorial for new OTZT users but I lost most of the documentation (there was a lot to find on vjcentral but that site is still down...) so if anybody has something, please report it. (e.g. keyboard layouts, esotic fx parameters & how to control them)

Thanx

Hey,

try this http://esotic.com/opentzt/

opentzt.com seems to be offline now... I'll esotic to link up his mp3 tutorial work through which is very handy.

morph is undisputed expert on this software, ask something specific and Im sure he'll be able to answer it with his eyes closed

I've been using the software for over 5 years now. I'm just wondering if anyone has extended written info on this software. I've checked Esotic's webpage (which is great basic info) but I know there was a lot of info on vjcentral (which I've lost). Things like, how to make the text (flash input) work, esotic fxs parameters, tim generator,...)

MIDI is a bit of a pain in the ass in OTZT, imho, I've been using my DM2 for a couple of years now and it appears to be the only MIDI controller that does what I want in OTZT.
(e.g. scratching, fading, controlling fx)

all help is welcome.
thanx

Default The last stuff I kicked out....

There are a pair of tutorials that I created right near the end of my coding...

There is a Quickstart that covers the basics:
http://esotic.com/media/TZTQuickStartTutorial.zip

And then the first "official" tutorial that covers content:
http://esotic.com/media/OpenTZT_Tutorial1_Content.zip

It's also available on Vimeo, if you'd like to watch it there:

It would be nice if there was a tutorial covering all the aspects of oTZT including the manager, effectors, presets, recording clips, and midi. This might be something I could generate, but I also fully support anyone else that wants to add their additional insights on these topics in video tutorial format or otherwise.

Thanx a lot for the help guys! I will try and put it all together.

@esotic: -the videos are a really nice starting point!
- do you still have a txt (or other) file which parameters your fx hold? (e.g. Ctrl + 1.. to set certain parameter, Ctrl + Shift + 1..0 to adapt parameter)

@vdmokstati: I should be (am) in otzt master class, but my english lacks some technicalities to put it all together..

@egw: please let us know what kind of info you've got, would be much appreciated..

@everybody: - who has a detailed txt (or other) file of what pete's plugins actually do in Otzt? (e.g. Ctrl + 1.. to set certain parameter, Ctrl + Shift + 1..0 to adapt parameter)

- who has a detailed txt (or other) file about the swf text input. I know I wrote one for the previous 320x240 version but I can't get it to work anymore in the latest version, which is a pity....

@developers (past & maybe future) & Morph: respect & THXX for making Otzt to what it is!!

As I said before, I've lost most of my info about Otzt because of a HD (external) crash.
So if anyone wants to help out, you're more than welcome!!
Because I know, Otzt isn't dead, too much people are interested and willing to learn..

cheerz

Default Quickstart on Vimeo

When I made the original Content tutorial it was my intention to follow that up with a series covering all the aspects of OpenTZT, but somehow I got distracted and forgot. Maybe I can finally make some time to get that done.

Here's the link to the Quickstart tutorial on Vimeo:

Cheers,

Esotic

Default OpenTZT FX Tutorial

I filmed the tutorials for FX in general, and also my FX specifically. This is the general tutorial on OpenTZT FX. Hopefully I'll get the tutorial specific to my FX rendered and uploading sometime in the next couple days.

Cheers,

Esotic
