Default Visualjockey Gold - I can't open the OpenGL configuration box

I'm following the basic instructions to open the OpenGL dialog, but it doesn't open. Loading 3D examples causes VJ to lock up. How do I launch the OpenGL configuration through a menu selection?

Thank you.

I now understand this is a general VJ forum and not the forum for the VJ program. This is where the program's site sent me.

I'm not seeing an "About" menu selection. so i don't know what version of Visual Jockey I'm using. It's the latest, though.

I just now got it to appear by selecting a 3D example in a preset show. I then loaded a 3D example. A please wait sign showed for the 1st time. VJ then crashed. It asked me to send a bug report, but it couldn't connect to the server.

I'd still like to know where the OpenGL config box menu item is hidden.

Once I run the config through the demo, I get beautiful renders. When I try to start a new project or load an example, the program crashes.

Well, I thought I was editing the thread title, but I just edited the post title. What's going on?

there are vjo users and developers on here, but you may get a better result from the vjo forum here http://visualjockey.stalker.nl/

From memory - doesn't vjo have a special setup for opengl when you install it? Perhaps re-install and work through that carefully.

vjair, thank you for the link.

I was putting together a detailed bug report when the problem got fixed. I had tried the solution before, but VJO crashed. I brought up the OpenGL dialog, checked "don't show again", and exited. VJO is now stable. Now I have to go on a DLL hunt.
