Question about Resolume & max no of layers

Am I right in thinking that resolume can only playback 3 video files simultaneously?
I have a PC-based project that requires simultaneous playback of probably more like 8 clips (which have large transparent regions) simultaneously, so would something like Arkaos be a better fit?

I don't know about arkaos, but Visual jockey will play as many layers your computer can handle and its free.
Resolume it three layers max

Arkaos and Vjamm will both let you play 8 clips simultaneously. I prefer Vjamm. it allows for 16 clips at a time.
