Default Ableton video into resolume as capture device

Ok i'll start off by saying i dont know ableton very well but this is what i want to do.

have 2 computers, me vjing on one (resolume) and my friend on the other (ableton). Now i believe you can set ableton to output video right? I want to use the ableton output as a capture device in my resolume.

The idea being, that lets say my friend is djing, and in his set on ableton, he has a couple songs that are synced to video on ableton. So when he plays these songs, ableton outputs video. then on the other computer, i could be vjing, and when these key songs come up i could vj mix into them and they would be synced up perfectly.

the goal being that we can both work independently, him djing and me vjing, but we can still display these videos that require presise sync when they come up in his set.

so, how do i go about doing all that?

thanks, sorry if i confused the hell out of you.

It would be easier to have the appropriate clips in resolume, and midi trigger them from ableton to sync one with the other - all tha would need is a little communication from him when he is going to start the synced parts so thatyou can get ready for him to take over, then you can check your e-mail or have wank whilst he does his bit then once he's finished he lets you know and then you get back on it.
