Plugins we have made include - Hearts (just too late for valentines though, whoops..), Sponge Brush, Collage, Noise, distortion and ripple effects.. To download demo versions of the plugins and view a demo video of them please go to www.syzygy-visuals.co.uk/freeframe.html Different Strokes is available for ?30, payment by paypal. If you are in the UK and would prefer to pay by cheque or bank transfer please PM me and I will give you our details to send payment. hey, nice - is it worth buying still life now if you're going to update it soon? or update will be free for registered users?

buy still life now - any future upgrades on any of our packs will be free.. we may make an exception when freeframe 2 happens (so the ff fx will use GPU rather than CPU and include pixelshaders and things), as this will probably require a ground up rewrite of our plugins - but there is no date for ff2, and if it's not much work we won't charge. ff2 is probably a long way off to be honest.
The upgrade will consist of additional plugins which have multiple folder selection parameters.. it's taken a long, long time to work out how to do it, and we are still not entirely happy becuase it eats alot of ram, potentially anyway.. It works fine with the brushtrokes effect in this pack, becuase the images are much smaller. Having some problems with it using large images unfortunately. Hope to have this upgrade out at the end of march though. thanks for the comments Conversions to mac will start in April (dan is away most of march).. we'll be porting them in the order they were released originally - that means the stripshow plugins will be done first - and you'll all have them when they are at beta cos they'll be free releases anyway.. Once problems are worked out doing these, I hope the porting of the rest will be pretty quick.. but if they aren't done before the summer we'll be lucky to have them for christmas.. I promise I'll keep you all informed..

hooray, multiple directories in stillife ::]
but will it require create separate plugin for each directory (like it is now with brushes)? as for brushes - is it possible to change the size and transparency of the brushes? some samples produce nice result with default settings, but other do need some tweaking also for me all the brushes are flipped vertically. i use vjo, pdoom host, display set for 16bit |

hi eps..
the multiple directories folder will work in the same way as the brushtrokes one - so that in the syzygy plugin data folder you will have a directory called (say) slide_fader_multi under which you could put any number of directories you want, each containing any number of images you want.. the only problem is that the images are all loaded into ram when the plugin is initialized, so you need to be sure you have enough ram when you load the plugin. I'm not sure why they are upside down for you? they have been tested in VJo and this wasn't reported - what version are you using? This is a problem with the information the host sends to the freeframe plugin about where the video starts to be drawn from, VJo is probably not sending the right information. with this pack there is a simple workaround for now - which is to vertically flip all the images that are used as brushes.. we'll see if we can work out what the problem is.. you don't have this problem using our still life plugins? can you try it on 24 or 32 bit? cheers tom |

The reason I sak this is that MANGLE allows for this type of effect and has specific commands relating to standard brush's and also animated ones. MANGLE help has examples of this in operation. Because MANGLE is completely programmable you have the option of using whatever you need for the brush's, other input nodes, effects, etc MANGLE's brush system is flexible you can also use them in Particle Storm, or even use the to create 'live' paint effects shuch as watercolout, oil, etc!

tom,
the workaround for vjo is much easier in fact - just to add couple of flips in composition; but i remember i had similar problems with one of your other packs (maybe that was stillife, i don't remember now) and you pretty quickly fixed it, that's why i think it may be somehow traced now. vjo version is 3.50.46.09. mavrick, of course i'm going to upgrade [not only because of this ::] but due to some big spendings [new notebook, etc.] it's not going to happen until may as for brushes pack features, i still suppose the inside-us-all's metamix much more flexible and useful.. [sorry tom ::] eps |
