Right now, I have to launch Live MIDI clips to alter the Arkaos playback rate (I have 100-180 BPM buttons on a Faderfox in multiples of 5).
I'm playing around with Plogue Bidule to have the CCs auto-generated directly from Live's tempo, so whatever video clip I play, it will be auto-synched to the audio without having to send a CC Live clip. |

sounds like the Plogue is th ultimate for system-wide information capture and application.
if only Arkaos could just detect software midi sources connected Rewire, and sync to external midi clocks, and stretch-loop-to-barlength option, that would be extra good functionality in an already great app. |

Arkaos CAN sync to Live's MIDI clock, but AFAIK it's not smart enough to scale playback speeds to sync video to match Live's tempo.

VJO (as far as I am aware) does't detect midi clock signals - unless they are part of key triggers or cc values? Altough I could implement it if someone can point me in the right direction so that I can get the trigger information specs.
VJO SP1 (currently in beta) has new beatmatch controls, these sync directly to the incomming beat and are then translated into 4 differnt waveforms: saw, sin, cos, and tri. Each of these is further broken down into single beat, double, triple, quad (a bar), 8 (2 bars), 12 (3 bars) and 16 beats (4 bars)- all of these can be combined to make new waveforms which are all beat synced perfectly. The new avi plugs would allow you to set an in/out point into a single avi, and trigger another avi file (or the same one with different in/out points) once it has played. Although not quite as simple as an all in one approach it is possible - I can probably implement this into VJO at some stage once I have worked out how to make user ineraction simple enough?
