Default Creating Content

Hi,

I didnt know whether to put this in "creating content" or "just starting" as I am just starting out, so sorry if its in the wrong place!

I'm just basically wondering what software would anyone recommend to create content, mostly 'trippy' stuff? I've started messing around with swishmax but I cant really get it to do what i want.

Also, can anyone recommend an external monitor card to split my monitor into 2 ( I want to have my PTZ Camera on my first projector and Visuals on my second)

ps Im using Resolume

Cheers in Advance

Hi and welcome to the site. The forums are chock full of good answers, a little searching goes a long way.

Programs for editing clips are plentiful.

Vegas
Premier
Final Cut Pro
Particle Illusion-trippy stuff....check it out
After Effects
Macromedia Flash

The list goes on do some Google search work.

Also if your using Resolume look into the free frame effects which also work with some of the editing applications as well.

Check these links:

Intrinsic & Inside-Us-All are doing well with the free-frame plugins. Check it out!

When asking questions like that, it tends to open up a can of worms as everyone won't agree on just one particular software, and there is not one that does everything, at least not yet. I would suggest going to vjcentral.com or audiovisualizers.com and checking out their software lists, and checking out any of the demos that might be available, and see what you like and don't like about them. Content making can be pretty extensive at times, so please feel free to ask questions that are a little more specific (ic: How do I do keyframes in Vegas, etc.) You may also want to visit the forums of the programs that you are interested in, to learn more about them from the people that use them the most, and who wrote them. Best of luck!!!
