Default Jahshaka

Hey all,

I've come accross this open source software called Jahshaka www.jahshaka.org. It does real-time video editing and effects. Seems liek it will be reaally handy for my performance arts works and I thought you should know. It's free and still developing so check it out.....

Well let us know whats its like, Looks interesting but I always worry about free software that tries to do every task buts end up doing none of them well. Reckon it'll have a hard task pulling me away from vegas/photoshop/flash/AE/cinema4D. Work flow is all important so an all in one package is nice on the surface, and is what they are hoping you will pick it for, but having a complete collection of tools is great if the tools are all intuitive to use and comprehensive.

However most of these screen shots are ok, but each tool looks limited, and I'd worry about the software restricting the quality of the end result. May be wrong, free is good and what can you expect from free software at stage 1.

Still reckon if your serious about content then invest in some tried and tested packages, vegas is simply stunningly quick for editing loops.

But as I already have software like photoshop/AE/Vegas etc doubt this is aimed at me lol

Wow, cool. Last time I checked the last version was pretty old and not updated since a long time. Good to see it did not die!
