Hi all, im very interested in buying a mac so that i can take it around and travel with it, whats good in mac, im a novice when it comes to Mac's and would like to run Adobe Cs2 and Modual8, is there any recomodations? what are other people running? and whats good? thanks in advance. cheers!!!

The new MacBook Pros are fantastic. I've got a 1.83 duo with 2 gig ram and it flies. One consideration is that until Adobe update CS2 to universal binary format (native for the intel processors) the CS2 stuff runs in the Rosetta emulation mode, which is about 50% speed it would be native. Still having said that i can bearly notice that photoshop and illustrator are emulated, but after effects is so good.

The modul8 universal binary beta version is great so far, shows a huge amount of promise.

yeah? thats wicked!!! i was thinking MacBook pro but ibve heard bad things about them, now its deciding do i put the money down for it? thanks!!!

i think he meant Y as in Yes not as in why?

i'd suggest waiting for the next gen of macbooks which (knowing apples track record) will fix a fair few of the current issues people are having - still you can play that game forever though so if you have the money now and need a new computer then jump right in (err sorry that wasn't very helpful was it?)

ooo i see y as yes. cool! yeah i need it for around the end of june so not that far in the future. yeah i dont want to be caught up with all the problems people are having so im not sure. anyways thanks!!!
