Default Oh Shit

About 4 months ago I had to excuse myself from a meeting when my vision in my left eye went purple and grey.... had tunnel vision in those colours for 3-4 mins meaning I couldnt see much at all.

Since then it happened about 6-7 times. I was doing fitness training about 6 times a week at the time and I just thought I was over-training as I regularly see 'stars' or 'white spots' briefly if I train hard.

Went to the Doctors briefly to check it out and got referred on, just in case but I didnt follow it on because of so much work.... idiot

Think I'll book that appointment now...

Luckily I will be having 2 weeks off work to relax and rest my eyes..which is what i really need to do right now, i spent most of last year working full time in a highly stressful exec job, looking for gigs/doing pr for the crew in the mornings before work, learning new softs and creating clips after getting home from work at 9pm...then vjing and managing the gigs at the weekends.

toooo....mucchhh!!!!!!
I missed this thread the first time around. Good luck darling and I hope it all goes well and a full recovery.

Default Eye Eye

Spent yesterday morning at the Eye specialist hospital.

Had these wicked drops put in my eyes that dilute ur pupils to the size of dinner plates.... vision goes blurry arounds the edges... trippy at 11am Wed morning... love it - they wouldn't let me take the drops home tho... they'd be great on a Friday night out...

Anyway good news is I don't have anything obvious wrong with my eye - retina and cornea look fine.

Worrying news is that they now recommend me to go for a Cardiogram ... hmmm not too bad if they put me on that treadmill and wire me up.... looks cool....

And if there's nothing wrong there....its a CAT scan......

And if there's nothing wrong there.... it could be myopic migraines.... - well those I can handle - kinda like getting my own kaleidoscope plugin for 5 mins at a time.....

another one for the list of occupational hazards.

I got snowblindness working for the chemical brothers.

They had 3 lighting strike strobes - they are either 2000 or 3000 watts- way too bright for indoors, and the guy operating them had a bottle of liquid acid.
needless to say he wouldn:t stop hitting the button and at the end of the gig my vision was like looking down a tunnel in black and white.

Default Eye Eye

Thought Id give an update to my eye thing

I was having blurred vision in my left eye and seeing colours.

So I went to the Brain Specialist who sent me to the Eye Doctor - confirmed that I had no detached retina.

Sent me to a Cardio Doctor who gave me a Cardiogram.... got to see my heart beating on screen which was cool - wish he'd let me sample it.

Heart is good -

So they sent me for an MRI Scan.... like the BIG brother of a CAT scan. Fuk me are those things loud.

Brain came out fine (altho not literally thank God) - Got some wicked Negatives of my brain, spine eyeballs etc......

Sent me for Bllood tests for Cancer, cholesterol and EVRYTHING else. All came back good.

So.... thats it. Got no answer.

So after the most worrying week of my life so far (this year) I thought life's too short. Such a cliche but I really learnt that this week.

Told my family if there was something wrong then ya know what? Ive had a bloody good run. I have had a great time.

This totally freaked 'em out unfortunately. Oops.

So the moral of the story is, if ya get blurry vision its definitely worth spending 3-4 grand to know ur gonna live.

Decided to spend a further 3-4 grand on a de stress machine after contemplating doing it for a long time and its better than any mixer , system or software I ever used..

Love ya all

Turkish
