d00d. I am so using stealing this footage to use in my next performance. They'll be all "woah, he is like, using a computer to do this! how does he get those word bubbles to pop up, this is an awesome vj."


(I wrote that as a joke, but now I'm actually imagining ways to mutate this so that it looks psychedelic, so, as a disclaimer, I'm kidding. And it's a good tutorial, too.)

Thanks for the video. I'm going to start using vdub more now.

I use camtasia (unfortunatly not free, but worth paying for) for this type of demo but I have a seperate "clean" user account so people don't see "my doecuments" or "my desktop" etc.

the ting i like about this instant-demo thingy is its direct support for flash which is a lot smaller than camtasia's "avi files in a weird codec" aproach. it also embeds in the forums nicely (as you can see)

i might make some more of these at some point - is there anything pople want to learn to do?

I just have to say that this flash demo saved my relation with my girlfriend, it's great to programme and schedule everything and then you can go and do other things, like dating!
