Hey all,
I've just uploaded some experimental freeframe filters that run most of the CoreImage effects within freeframe apps on OS X 10.4 (Tiger). http://petewarden.com/FFCoreImage_v0-02.zip http://petewarden.com/FFCoreImage_source_v0-02.zip The source is included. These are all running the software versions of the effects, not the GPU one, so they should run on most machines, but some may run slowly. thanks, Pete |

Great work Pete!
They work fine here on my mini running Flowmotion 2.8 on OS X 10.4 the 'source' ones get properly detected as such and they appear in the right place. But I think some of them should be 'mixer' effects, (blendmodes, compositing etc), these don't get detected as such and end up with the other effects. Strange because your 'mixer' and 'luma' ones show up in the right place

thanks for that pete.. you a legend....
does anyone know would it be technically possible to write something the other way that makes freeframe effects compiled for mac appear as core image units? I'd love to use some of the freeframe plugins inside quartz composer...

hey oli if you download LiveQuartz from rhapsoft (its free) you can play with all the core image filters on stills to see what they do...
it's got a scrolling pop up menu of the available filters with little thumbnails... www.rhapsoft.com
