I am using a doepfer pocket dial midi controller conected into to a marc 4midi soundcard, and use the pocket dial software downloaded from there site.

I have read throught the pocket dial manual as supplied and also the pdf manual. This information to my eyes I find difficult to relete to its actual use.

Using the midi learn on the native Instruments Tracktor software the pocket dial works very well and the settings can be saved as a midi file and reloaded again, modifyed and saved without any problem using pocket dial preset 85.

However, if I try programming the cc numbers in the pocket dial software, to controll the controlls on Tracktor or any other instrument, then as yet I have been unable to programm any of the 16 pocket dial controllers!

I just do not understand how you configure the software and hardware?

I use the doepfer site guide for the presets 1 -128. I alter the dip switches on the hardware to the picture on the software, I have the soundcard midi channels set ok on the settings tab, I have autosend checked, and althoght it will make pro 52 work on the filters bank on preset number 67, I can not instruct it to control any of the 16 pocket dial controllers.

I am aware of the right clicking and setting to controller the channel and the cc number and I get no response!

There must be something fundamently simple as to why I can not get it this device to function correctly?

Please could anybody throw any light on this as I know the midi functions on the software will work because I have had it tested using a Evolution U16 which made the midi controllers work within minutes!!

I run a Studio logic CMK 149 midi keyboard through the pocket dial/Marian marc 4 midi and that works very well.

I would love to get pocket dial working properly as when it does work its solid I just cannot understand it.

If anybody could please help me I would be very grateful for your advice. As then I could get on with what I am supossed to be doing. Dave.
