Default Attention new users/posters

I have noticed a growing trend in the Subject line of posts.

"Really stupid question or dumb question" ect

***PLEASE DON'T POST THAT AS YOUR TITLE ***

To get more effective answers to your posts and to attract more attention from users who may be able to help, please consider revising your subject line with a more appropriate title. Be as speciffic as possible

*Make sure you take a look at the stickys up top and use the search function, it does wonders.

Thanks

also please try and ask just one question per thread - a lot of people are posting things like "i've just got a new projector, can you make my laptop tvout work, what's the best software to impress girls with, i think i might move to the UK can i live on your floor?"

also you'll get a MUCH better response if you tell us a bit more about yourself and some of the ways you've tried to answer the question for yourself.

eg

thread title = TVout // scanconverter

post = "hi I'm a web designer who is trying to start VJing - i have a dell laptop (9100) and i intend to use resolume 2 - i have tried to make the tvoutput work following the instructions on resolumes website but i can only get it working into a TV (it causes a lot of glitching when i plugged into my mates v4) I read on the forums that i might need a scanconverter - is this true? will a scanconverter work better than my tvoutput? can anyone recommend me one that costs less than ?100"

this lets people here know that you have tried the obvious ways to get your gear to work and have thought about the problem for yourself which will dramatically improve peoples willingness to help you out!

I believe they feel more exited with Motion Dive 3 for some reason, is something in the interface.

I just posted my first thread under the VJ software section to then realize I am asking multiple question like multiple screens, software, projectors and the meaning of life all combined
Please delete the thread and will make separated new threads on the right sections.
Thanks
