Default Light/Simple Editing program for mac

Is there a good software out there for quick cuts and edits without all the fancy features? Any recommendations?

I use Quicktime Pro often to trim my shoots first. MpegStreamclip is free and can do it too, but I like QT when I need to create a loop.

I'd suggest either Adobe Premiere Elements or iMovie. If you're broke and adventurous, you could also give Blender (yes, the free 3D modeling/animation software) a go. It has a video sequencer in it that does no frills editing.

Thank you guys, I've used iMovie in the past but found it unnecessarily time consuming, QT sounds good for quit trims.
