If you do switch to only using the Intel Gfx you won't get a second output at all as it only supports video to the internal LCD.

Hi, I had this problem earlier in the year.
Sorry I didn't see this thread at the time. This issue is caused by an un-terminated earth pin on the DVI display device. Dropping down to VGA with DVI converter on the TVone input will solve the issue as VGA on DVI has a separate earth pin. I blame Apple, quite a few people have had this problem with no satisfactory answer on the apple discussion lists etc. Likewise I had to use my 2008 mbp as back up while I resolved the issue with the newer machine. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DV...tor_Pinout.svg Pin 15: Ground: Return for pin 14 and analog sync C5: Analog ground, Return for R, G, and B signals I could be wrong in my analysis, but I know dropping down to VGA solved the trackpad/mouse issues when I plugged into a range of devices. One new 1080p monitor that I tried did not create any problems, pluging into the TVone, LED processors and the TV in my hotel all caused the trackpad to stop working properly. so what you are saying is, if you run analog DVI-I out with a DVI-D adapter it wont work
no surprises there.. |
