I had a precision m4300 which was (still is) quite good. The GPU was its weak point - frankly i don't care for the Quadro series, lots of $$$ for less GRRR than the gaymers cards.

Its a shame they have made the screen smaller, my m4300 had 1920x1200 - the extra vertical res makes a lot of difference when trying to look at complex GUIs (and the AI has an err interesting? GUI at the best of times)

The precision series are well constructed with actual metal forming at least some of the components. The M4300 is the second best constructed laptop i have owned (after the macbook pro) Docking station is a nice feature which i have always missed on my other machines.

cheers tom

i've been looking at one with the amd fire pro instead of the quadro. im liking the idea of being able to use 3 outs at a time without extras ( or display + 2 )

new redesigned Ai gui is on the way.... as is the ability to use many more layers per fixture..... we have both working in the lab....... next release. we have some other good surprises too
