Default Video within a video + some noob questions

I'm relatively new to this sort of thing so forgive me if this question is slightly obtuse, but I was wondering if it was possible to have a video playing within a video: for example, a clear color video of people robbing a bank and then have it zoom out and be a grainy security camera video viewed from the monitor? I'm not sure what software can pull this off and for the effect I want to achieve, I want to incorporate live footage into it. Could anybody suggest a solution? I'm assuming using RGB on the screen and keying it out or something, but I have yet to film the thing and try it out.

I want to use these visuals for a death metal band and I also want to have the logo displayed between songs. How does one do this seamlessly? I'm sorry, this is probably the dumbest question of them all, but I've been messing about with modul8 a bit and it's rather tricky to do some of the things I want to do because each song has a very different set visuals as well as lyrics on screen at times and to trigger them all flawlessly is a bit difficult. Perhaps I should play around with it for a bit longer and get used to the controls, but if someone could offer any assistance on this(or even an alternative software) to fit my needs it would be fantastic.

Thanks!

- J

Edit: Also, it is rather rude for a first post to just ask questions and not say hi, so HELLO! I play the drums in a band in Dubai and I am trying to incorporate some visuals into our live shows just to keep it entertaining because we play silly music and it's just much better that way.

any multilayer video app will do this - Modul8, Resolume and so on. You may need to play around with your clips transparency(alpha channel) or different size on the top of an other clip-
