Okay, so this is gonna be a long shot, but im gonna try it anyways. Im not very familiar with all the VJ stuff. But I am looking for something specific.
Situation: My friends throws a sensation inspired (but way way way smaller, 120 people, and with limited budget) party. The idea is that there are 2 screens on the stage, just two regular big tv's. He wants to play some text stuff, and some video stuff on there during the party. Now he wants me to control it, but the problem is, im sitting on my FOH position in the back of the room monitoring the audio and assisting the lights guy. So what we are looking for is a way to connect ''my'' PC at FOH to a PC close to the monitors. Cables and everything is taken care off. We just need a piece of software, or multiple ones to connect the two pc's. Does anyone know a piece of software wich can control screens over a network or other connection. Its probably easiest to just duplicate the tv's on stage to the PC back there, and then send a signal from FOH to that PC. I hope i explained it well enough, if not, ill make a drawing or something. Once again, im sort of a newbie to the VJ stuff but not a complete idiot in the Audio and Lights world. I work in a local theatre as a audio tech and stage hand. I have seen weird stuff happen gheghe! I hope someone can help! Oh, and please excuse my english, its not my own language. Im from Holland. Greetz Lobe3

You'll have better luck with cables (good quality vga cables can go quite far). Do the tvs have vga?
Network streaming isn't (yet) a good solution, but maybe it will be possible in the future. |

Well thats also one of the problems, one is HDMI and one is DVI. The pc back on the stage has two outputs, one HDMI and one DVI, so that should not be a problem
